The opening of FAMA Asian Championships 1999

Singapore was the host for the 1999 FAMA Asian Championships where 22 countries participated in the event. FAMA President, General Vorayudh Mesommonta, and WMC President, General Chetta Thanajaro, presided over the opening accompany by many VIPs of Singaporean sporting and other government departments.

The opening was spectacularly held with different national teams marched into the venue. The setting was beautifully decorated in an Asian traditional style and Asian cultural performances were specially organized for the entertainment. The President of FAMA gave the opening speech and welcomed all participants to the games. He also thanked Mr. Colin Chan, the President of Singapore Muaythai Association, for his tremendous performance as the head of organizing committee of this Asian Championship.
