MUAYTHAI INDONESIA – New Headquarters

Earlier this year, the Indonesian MuayThai Association under the Presidency of Dr. Made Mangku Pastika celebrated the Grand Opening of their new headquarters.

The members of the association have done great work to develop and promote MuayThai in Indonesia. Special recognition should go to the General Secretary Julie Andrean and also to the Coordinator Roger Lim which has been the driving force on the development of Muaythai in Indonesia. Indonesia has been a member of IFMA and WMC since 2002.

          

The IMA, the newest full representative of IFMA and FAMA followed this excitement with a great showing at the 2006 IFMA World Championships in June. The team was thrilled to take home 2 medals from this their second time coming to the games. The medals coming from both male and female sections of the tournament showed that the association is really working hard to bring the standards up to a world-class level.

Their hard work has been recognised officially by the Sports Ministry and Olympic Committee of Indonesia and Dr Mae has been voted as one of the Vice Presidents of FAMA and executive member of IFMA
